Sonia Griffen is an advisor at NSI and a research associate at the EFI Foundation where she works at the intersection of business, finance, and energy policy.
Griffen previously interned at the Institute of International Finance on the Sustainable Finance Team where she wrote their quarterly publication and worked on a team engaging with financial institutions and key players within the sector to develop capital market solutions supporting decarbonization goals. She also interned at a climate start-up, the Climate Board, where she worked with companies to integrate sustainability into corporate strategies. She has also interned at the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs where she researched connections between water management policies and migration in the Sahel region of Africa.
Griffen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy and Economics from Colby College.
