Patrick White is a senior advisor at NSI and an expert in advanced nuclear technology and regulation at Clean Air Task Force (CATF). He works at the intersection of technology, policy, and regulatory frameworks. His work focuses on uranium enrichment, advanced nuclear systems, and nuclear safety and regulation. He also leads CATF’s fusion energy work on safety, regulation, waste, and nonproliferation.
Previously, White served as Research Director at the Nuclear Innovation Alliance, where he led technical analysis and stakeholder engagement on advanced nuclear energy. He also worked with the commercial nuclear industry at MPR Associates.
White holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and MS and PhD degrees in Nuclear Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His graduate research focused on new licensing methods and regulatory frameworks for advanced fission and commercial fusion energy.
