Co-Founder and Co-Chair, Arnold Ventures


John Arnold is the co-founder and co-chair of Arnold Ventures. Arnold Ventures seeks to tackle pressing problems in the United States by applying evidence-based solutions to improve outcomes in public systems such as health care, education, criminal justice, infrastructure, and public finance.

Arnold is also co-founder and chairman of Grid United, a developer of interregional, high-voltage transmission projects with a mission to make America’s power grid more reliable, resilient, and efficient. He also founded Centaurus Capital, a family office investment fund focused on the energy industry.

Arnold serves on the boards of Meta, Vanderbilt University Board of Trustees, Columbia Center on Global Energy Policy, and The City Fund. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University.
